Since the influence of friend of man is very deep, Islamic teachings have given an important status to the friendship. In Holy Qur’an it is stated that most of the companions of the Fire will say, in the Hell, that
So it is very important to know how your friend is.
In this regard, there is a very nice hadith in which Imam Baqir (A.S) said:
My father Ali Ibn al- Hussein (A.S), once, advised me: ‘O son, do not associate, talk, or accompany five classes of people.’ ‘Who are they, father?’ asked me, and he (A.S) answered: ‘Beware of associating with the liar, for he is as same as a mirage: he shows you the near as remote, and shows you the remote as near. Beware of associating with the sinful, for he will disappoint you for a single bite or even something less valuable. Beware of associating with the stingy, for he will let you down when you are in urgent need of his property. Beware of associating the foolish, for he harms you when he intends to do you favor. Beware of associating with the disregardful of his relatives, for I found him cursed in the Book of Allah.

Immense oppression that prevails throughout the world, the unjust domination, the hounding of nations around the globe; excessive bloodshed, the disregard of the most noble and the most beloved of human values, this is the treachery that the global supercilious front presents to mankind day after day. Immense immorality, exploitation and oppression naturally strikes at one - who does not have a spring of hope to cling onto - with hopelessness. This is how younger generations in western countries are driven to nihilism. The new generation which has not adapted to nor abides by the traditions, when they see the turbulence of the mankind’s living environment, they lose hope; thus they are driven into nihilism.

Lady Fatimah was the only daughter of the Holy Prophet and Lady Khadijah. The circumstances of her birth are described by Lady Khadijah as follows: At the time of the birth of Lady Fatimah, I sent for my neighboring Qurayshite women to assist me. They flatly refused, saying that I had betrayed them by supporting Muhammad. I was perturbed for a while, when, to my great surprise, I sighted four strange tall women with halos around them, approaching me. Finding me dismayed, one of them addressed methus, "O Khadijah! I am Sarah, the mother of Ishaq, and the other three are, Mary the mother of Christ, Asiyah the daughter of Muzahim, and Umm Kulthum, the sister of Moses. We have all been commanded by God to put our nursing knowledge at your disposal." Lady Fatimah inherited the genius and wisdom, the determination and will-power, the piety and sanctity, the generosity and benevolence, the devotion and worship of Allah, the self-sacrifice and hospitality, the forbearance and patience, and the knowledge and nobility of disposition of her illustrious father, both in words and deeds. "I often witnessed my mother," says Imam Husayn, "absorbed in prayer from dusk to dawn." Her generosity and compassion for the poor was such that no destitute or beggar ever returned from her door unattended...

On June 4, 1989 AD, the Father of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) passed away at the age of 87. Following the announcement this report, world Muslims and conscientious people throughout the globe, mourned for the Sage of the Age, who had not just transformed Iran into a powerful independent country, but by inspiring the people to overthrow the British-installed and American-supported Pahlavi regime, also shattered big power equations in Iran and the region.
A mujtahid and a Gnostic of the highest order, he was exiled for some 14 years for opposing the despotic Shah, before returning home to an unprecedented welcome, to lead the Islamic Revolution to victory in February 1979. For the next ten years he ably guided the Islamic Republic of Iran, defeating the conspiracies hatched by Global Arrogance, including the 8-year war the US imposed on Iran through its agent, Saddam of Iraq’s repressive Ba’th minority regime.
In addition to grooming prominent scholars, Imam Khomeini has left behind numerous valuable compilations, including “Tahrir al-Wasilah”, “Mesbah al-Hedaayah” and “Islamic Government”. He gave to the world the dynamic system of “Velayat-e Faqih” or rule of the Supreme Jurisprudent in the absence of the Infallible Imam, pointing the absurdity of rule by unprincipled and immoral persons, even if democratically elected....
Many of us are very proactive when it comes to our medical needs. We get yearly physicals, go to the dentist twice a year, and some of us even make sure to get our monthly massage. One thing, however, for which many people wait until a problem arises to see a professional, is the eyes. I can say this because as an eye doctor, it is a daily occurrence for me to see patients who haven't had their eyes checked in five or more years. The eyes are one of the sensors Allah has given us to experience His wonders and by which to also gain humility by lowering our gaze. They should be taken care of and treasured just like any important organ of our bodies....
